Gibson County Special School District will be hosting two Family Career Nights for our middle schoolers (7th and 8th grade) and their families to kick off our summer program this year! Meet and greet with local businesses and industry partners, learn more about the CTE programs we offer, and a Claim Your Future presentation. Come join us for a night of careers, pizza, and a chance to win door prizes! We will be giving away six $100 gift cards + $100 worth of additional prizes at each Family Career Night event. We hope you will join us!

Monday is the SGCMS field day. We will have blow up and interactive games as well as tug of war and relay races. The food truck will be here and the concession stand will be open. Items and prices can be found on the school Facebook page. Temperature is supposed to hit 90 degrees on Monday so students should bring water bottles, sunscreen, etc.

On April 14, 2022, the board passed on first reading, policies 6.204 and 6.206. Recent changes within legislation required these policies to change the enrollment procedures for transfers within the district and students wishing to transfer to GCSSD from outside the district. Tomorrow afternoon yearbooks will be distributed. If you have not ordered a yearbook, we have extras for $70. Please remind students to write names inside the yearbook cover with a pen or marker so it can be identified.
