
On Tuesday, May 13th, 8th grade students will hand in their school issued laptops. Please make sure your student brings their laptop, case, and charger. Any stickers or writing on the laptops should be removed to avoid a fine.

There will be an informational meeting for all parents of students who plan to participate in any SGCMS athletic program during the 2025-2026 school year on May 12th at 6 p.m. at SGCMS. Coaches will be introduced and available for your questions. There will be an opportunity to join the Athletic Booster Club as well, so be sure to bring cash/check/or card if interested in early bird discount pricing!

Did you miss your chance to buy a yearbook in pervious years? Here is your chance to do so at a fraction of the cost.


If any current 8th graders are interested in running cross country next year at SGCHS, please go pick up an informational packet in the front office.

As a reminder, softball tryouts will be tomorrow and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:15 at the middle/high school softball field.

Congratulations to Sophie Ingle for qualifying for the Tennessee Middle School Golf Association’s State Tournament. Sophie finished tied for second place in Monday's sectional tournament. Congratulations Sophie and good luck at state!

TCAP Math starts tomorrow. 8th grade parents please make sure your student charges their laptop and brings it with them to school. Breakfast is free this week in the cafeteria for all students. We will also be selling TCAP concession each day this with. All item are $1 or $2.

7th grade students participated in a TCAP egg hunt last week, solving math problems contained in each of the eggs. Prizes went to the top three teams!
